Horse & Wagon Rides
Experience the beauty of Rangeley’s downtown on a horse-drawn wagon ride. This is a free, weather permitting, family event, located at Haley Pond. Enjoy a ride through town and end the evening with free ice skating, a bonfire, and hot cocoa. Don’t miss out – these rides are almost done for the season with the last two Saturday’s being March 4th and March 11th.
10th Annual Moose Dash Snowshoe Race
Rangeley is full of unique winter sporting events and the Annual Moose Dash Snowshoe Race is no exception. With a course that winds through woodlands north of Saddleback Mountain and includes spectacularly groomed trails, there’s no shortage of excitement to be had from both participants and spectators. Mountainous views and possible wildlife sightings are also included in the race! This event takes place on March 12, 2023 at 10:30am.
Dark Skies Tour with Northern Stars Planetarium
Sponsored by Dark Skies Rangeley, the Dark Skies Tour offers participants the chance to join John Meader, owner of The Northern Star Planetarium, on a guided night time snowshoe tour. Experience Rangeley in a way few do while you learn about constellations, galaxies, and much more! Happening on March 17, from 7:00pm – 9:00pm.

3rd Annual Spring Bash - A Blast from the Past
Returning for their third year, Saddleback Mountain’s Blast from the Past event is one you won’t want to miss. Featuring the Pond Skim, Rewind and Grind Rail Jam, and the Motor Booty Affair, the Black from the Past combines a series of events to make one epic, end of season party! Happening the weekend of April 7, 2023.

6th Annual RuKaBi Race
Looking for the ultimate outdoor competition? Rangeley’s annual RuKaBi race may be the perfect fit. This unique competition features 3.5 miles of biking, 1.5 miles of kayaking, and 3.5 miles of running. Participants can join individually or as a team, with prizes being awarded to the top finishers in multiple categories. This event takes place on May 28, 2023.
The wonders of this area offer its visitors the opportunity to tailor their Maine vacation exactly how they choose. No matter what you decide the area’s hospitality is always sure to provide guests with the trip of a lifetime.
