In an area as scenic as our region, it’s always a great idea to start at the Rangeley Lake Trail Center. After all, there’s no better way to experience the great outdoors of Rangeley than by getting up close and personal with all of the flora and fauna that make our region so beautiful. With over 55 km of secluded, scenic recreational trails for walking, running, biking and more, these trails provide the best way to experience the sights of summer in the entire Rangeley Lake region. Guided tours are also available, allowing you to learn even more about the surrounding area while taking in the foliage. Don’t forget to bring your bike for even more fun! 

At 4,120 feet in elevation, Saddleback Mountain has been an everpopular hiking destination in the Rangeley area for decades. The views are unmatched and the trails are perfect for avid hikers - you can even enjoy a guided tour with their Outdoor Programs Team. Want to explore Rangeley on the water? Saddleback offers paddling excursions including guided canoe, kayak, and SUP trips. And for those looking to view some wildlife, Saddleback Mountain also offers bird watching trips!
